February 23, 2010—Two of the most inclusive resorts on the planet, the Divi and Tamarijn Aruba, turned to Adaco to power procurement for a family of five resorts, a golf course, ten restaurants and seven lounges. The resorts, which also operate the adjacent Alhambra Casino, have been using Adaco .NET™ since October, 2008.

“There was no new training needed for our users because it was so easy to understand,” said Rafael Gallardo, Food and Beverage Cost Controller for the resorts. “Adaco .NET is more sophisticated than its predecessor, does a better job of provisioning, has more options and produces reports that are really easy to read. The system also responds faster, even though it's no longer located on our server but delivered as a software service.”

Gallardo said each lounge and restaurant on the property make their own requisition decisions, so there are about 20 users of the system to take into consideration. “We are going to start using the dynamic recipe costing because it makes it easy for them to see the cost for every decision they are making.”

The Divi Aruba and the Tamarijn Aruba are located just steps apart along a stretch of sandy beach, and also include three freshwater pools, a wide range of activities, nightly entertainment and the Divi Winds Sports Center, featuring a 30-foot outdoor climbing wall. The properties have used Adaco hospitality solutions for procurement since 1999.
